The Hamilton Twelve wedding and event facility is located approximately 20 miles from downtown Austin, Texas on a crested hill in the Balcones Canyonlands near the convergence of the Pedernales River and Hamilton Creek.  Many years in the planning, this distinctive event facility is a combination of talents, experience, and the passion of owner Georgia Coleman.  She has created an event facility that provides an alternative for people interested in distinctive sophistication for any special event or party.  It can best be summarized as “inspired architecture and cuisine” for those with a love of celebration and fine food.  The rambling green hills, Mediterranean Style architecture, and fine culinary offerings make the Hamilton Twelve truly a sought-after event destination.

From the beginning, The Hamilton Twelve has satisfied the most discriminating clients and their guests. Georgia has carefully selected a well-trained and professional staff that embodies the high level of care required for a truly special occasion.  She believes that the overriding secret of their success has been the immediate trust that clients grant them, which allows The Hamilton Twelve team to create truly magical and memorable events.

Ms. Coleman, acting as Facility Director, and after years of working in the film and restaurant businesses, honed the instincts and skills that constitute her rare ability to understand clients’ objectives and deliver them. As the creator of Mars Restaurant & Bar in Austin, she contributes ample culinary strengths; from classic sophistication to celebrating exotic multi-cultural fare- the food is exceptional.  She has been featured in the New York Times, Texas Monthly, Food & Wine, and Gourmet to mention a few.

The Hamilton Twelve
is located on 5 breezy Texas Hill Country acres, with live oak trees and wild persimmons.  The property is home to an abundance of deer and other wildlife.  The area was originally home to the Tonkawa and Lipan Apache tribes who were attracted to the abundance of game.  In the mid 1860s, Morgan C. Hamilton owned the property now known as Hamilton Pool Preserve seven miles away.  His brother, Andrew Jake Hamilton was the 10th governor of Texas.  In the 1880s, the Reimers, an immigrant family from Germany, bought the property to raise sheep and cattle.  Legend has it that their eight-year-old son discovered the collapsed cave now known as Hamilton Pool.  Today, the grotto is considered a natural treasure and truly contributes to the unique spirit of the facility’s history, magic, and name.
