Many years in the planning, this distinctive event facility was a combination of talents, experience, and passion of original owner Georgia Coleman. Since its establishment in 2000, the Hamilton Twelve wedding and reception venue has satisfied over 750 of the most discriminating clients and their guests. Darci Jordan, Hamilton Twelve's Venue Director, graduated from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. She has worked in restaurants all over the country including The Grand Teton Resort in Wyoming and several fine-dining restaurants on Maui. She contributes ample culinary strengths; from classic sophistication to celebrating exotic multi-cultural fare- the food is exceptional. By retaining the venue creator as an executive consultant, Ms. Jordan and Ms. Coleman are able to combine their skills and offer a complete exceptional turnkey event.
Hamilton Twelve's excellent culinary offerings and distinguished architecture bring a sense of celebration to every event. The facility is an ideal spot for weddings and receptions; as well as family reunions, bar mitzvahs, holiday parties, or corporate events. Guests are invited to flow from the spacious interior grand hall to the covered outdoor terrace, and further to the patio grounds and pool. The Hamilton Twelve Wedding Reception venue can accommodate up to 200 people for full indoor and outdoor use. The interior grand hall and covered terrace can seat up to 125 guests for a seated dinner or 150 for a cocktail reception.
The Hamilton Twelve Austin Hill Country Wedding Venue is located on 5 breezy Texas Hill Country acres, with live trees and wild persimmons. The property is home to an abundance of deer and other wildlife. The area was originally home to the Tonkawa and Lipan Apache tribes who were attracted to the abundance of game. In the mid 1860s, Morgan C. Hamilton owned the property now known as Hamilton Pool Preserve seven miles away. His brother, Andrew Jake Hamilton was the 10th governor of Texas. In the 1880s, the Reimers, an immigrant family from Germany, bought the property to raise sheep and cattle. Legend has it that their eight-year-old son discovered the collapsed cave now known as Hamilton Pool. Today, the grotto is considered a natural treasure and truly contributes to the unique spirit of the facility's history, magic, and name.
